Hello everybody, Welcome,
Welcome, DIY says hello to you
Nice to meet you, How do you do?
Hello everybody, Hello everybody,
Welcome, Welcome!
In Summer 2024, we celebrated 30 years of DIY Theatre! To mark our 30th birthday, we created 3 special projects, including a film called, ‘Exploring Our Past, Shaping Our Futures’.
This was a collaboration between DIY Core Company, DIY Gamechangers and filmmaker Hilary Easter-Jones. They came together to create a film all about DIY Theatre’s history and the amazing work that has been done in Salford and further afield over the past 30 years.
We shared the film at the first of our special birthday events on 18th June 2024 at the New Adelphi, University of Salford.
The event was opened with a lovely speech by DIY Patron, Jenny Sealey OBE, Artistic Director of Graeae Theatre Company. DIY members then began with a welcome song, and the day was filled with films, songs, performances, and sensory activities for everyone to enjoy.
The pace was very engaging and everyone was so welcoming. It’s been a pleasure to see all of the fantastic work that DIY does and I can’t wait to see more! – Audience member
The performances were really encouraging. You’ve involved the audience and we could feel the meaning of each performance. – Audience member
