Cathy Rothwell – Leadership Profile

Cathy says…

Don’t be afraid to tell people what to do”

photo: on the left is a big stuffed orange bird puppet who is looking at a woman on the right. She is looking back at the bird and looks like she is talking to it. The woman looks middle aged, she has short brown hair and is wearing glasses, a light brown jumper and bright mustard coloured trousers. She is sitting in a wheelchair. Her right elbow is resting on her knee and her hand is raised as if she is making a point to emphasise what she is saying to the bird. In the background there is a picture of a forest with tree trunks disapearing into mist.

My favourite thing about being a Gamechanger is… being the boss at interviews.”

My leadership photo explained…

I chose to have the bird puppet because I like using this prop. It is my favourite puppet from the Hanging by a Thread show. I am pointing at the puppet because I am the person who leads with the puppet during the show and workshop.

My leadership memory is…

leading sessions for sensory learners. When I show young people the sensory props they look really happy.
