Arts Award

We completed our series of 3 pilot Arts Award projects, funded through the Cooperative Foundation, with a successful moderation at Chatsworth Special School in December.  Six young people at Chatsworth School achieved their Bronze Arts Award (Level 1).  Congratulations to Connor, Bethany, David, Chloe, Monika and Ashley!

Friendship Project

DIY has been running a Friendship Project, which has been taking place at St.George’s Centre in Salford on Wednesday afternoons with a group of 20 adults with learning difficulties. DIY is now a Community Interest Company

In January 2010, DIY became a Community Interest Company.  Over half of our Board Members are members with learning difficulties.  We plan to use our new structure to strengthen our staffing and organisational systems, our fundraisign strategy and our partnership working over the next three years.
